Scheduling can help a busy tradesperson prepare posts when there is a quiet moment rather than trying to write a caption between jobs. Meta says Business Suite can create and schedule posts to Facebook and Instagram and show post insights.

It is a way to organise publishing, not a promise that a post will reach more people. You still need to choose useful job photos, check customer permissions and respond to enquiries.

Prepare the post before scheduling

Use a short queue of real work rather than filling a calendar with generic promotions. For each post, gather:

  • The approved photo or video and its customer permission.
  • A clear caption that says what the job involved.
  • A call to action that matches the post, such as asking for a quote.
  • A destination link checked on a phone.
  • Any accessibility details, including captions or alternative text where available.

Meta's desktop help says you need full control or content permission for the Page or Instagram account you want to use. Check access before planning a batch, especially if an agency or team member is doing the scheduling.

Schedule, then inspect the queue

In Meta Business Suite, create the post, choose its Facebook Page and/or connected Instagram account, review the preview, then select a future date and time. Meta notes that scheduling times use your current time zone, so check device and business settings when planning around holidays or customers in another region.

After saving, open the scheduled-content view and confirm that the post appears on the correct account. Check the image crop, spelling, date, link and caption. A queued post is not finished until you know what will publish.

Keep the routine manageable

Batch only as much content as you can keep accurate. Leave room for timely changes: a weather delay, an unexpected closure or a customer asking you to remove a photo. Review scheduled posts after a job changes or permission is withdrawn.
